To implement the proposed change will represent a code change (albeit a small one). I don't think there have been any code changes in about 5 years. I also think in the last 5 years there have been other code change suggestions that relate to more important issues.

So I wouldn't hold my breath expecting this to be the highest priority issue with a quickly implemented solution.
