If we want to mimic real life then we should have an off day (i.e. extra rest day) about every 7-10 days.

MLB has 162 games in 182 days, or 20 off days in 26 weeks. A pitcher throwing every 5th day would get 182/5 = 36 starts in real life and you do see a few starters every year get 34-36 starts.

In Purebaseball a starter throwing every 5th day only gets 32 starts.

My proposed implementation for PB would be to give a rest day after every even numbered week, thus playing 10 games in 11 days, or 160 games in 175 days.
