INN players
It's easy to see you haven't had the luck I've had with some of my teams. Last season one team had 24 players after cutting all the players that did not appear the previous MLB season. This left me with exactly 2 starting pitchers, 1 pitched more than 10 games. In the outfield I had one player who had 500 at bats, the total number of at-bats of all the other outfielders on my totaled less than 300 (only one was rated INN. I had two infielders who were considered regulars everyone else was low atbat non-INN utility players. I believe I had one catcher and a few relief pitchers. So out of 24 players I had 3 full time position players, one starter, one spot starter, and garbage for a relief staff. This doesn't count the players that I had to ask Mike Bravard for DL replacements.
So, in 12 draft picks I had to draft at least 4 starting pitchers, 2 catchers, 1 first baseman, 1 secondbaseman and 2 outfielders and come up with enough innings pitched and at bats to finish the season and try to rebuild my team.
Now tell me how should I draft? Should I Draft INN players to fill all my positions or draft rookie players that might have a future? I suppose I could have passed on someone like Mark Texiera in order to get an INN player so I could field a team that wouldn't offend people.
