RT rookie draft & season

Posted By Steve M

If you've been in this league for any amount of time it's a right of spring passage that the same forum posting comes up as to "we're starting earlier this year," and the inevitable no messages until 3-4 days before draft, then "due to circumstances beyond our control, yadda, yadda, yadda" the rookie draft gets pushed back a week (in this year two weeks) and eventually the start of the season gets started close to June, meaning by Aug- Sep we're not playing RT but, Traditional league. Also the promises of improvements have been issued since 2000 and are never delivered upon. Personally the only reason I tolerate this is because of 6 years of time invested and wanting to see the fruition of my efforts. But this also is starting to wane. The only mistake PB hasn't made is escalating the price, but when one considers that during the off season months you’re still paying for the product, then PB management can ill offered to jack up any price without losing owners like rats leaving a sinking ship.
I feel long term owners are at about the end of the rope as well due to lack of communication, pushing back of dates and no improvements in the game or even the look to the game. In other words as good as this product is, people will get fed up with the delays and promises and will seek an alternative. Not trying to be overly critical here, but I've put in close to $800 over the past 6.5 years and would like to see promises delivered upon, scheduled drafts started on time and if no improvements are going to be made, don't make any statements or promises to that extent. And Mike B, please don't tell us about your job and lack of time. I work hard for a living also and can use that as an excuse at times for things that come up, but not for 6 years. If you don't have the time, sell the game to somebody who can put in the improvements and can deliver on time. The only reason PB has survived this long is because it is unique to the internet, but all reigns do come to an end.
