In extra innings, the ROBOT will look at starting pitchers as candidates as long as the team in question will be left with eligible rotation starters for the next TWO games. This was designed in this manner so that the ROBOT would be competitive in a playoff environment(we have not implemented a playoff ROBOT as yet). The practice occasionally messes up the rotation but gives the road team a better shot to win extra frame games.
