Another off the wall scheme to help rebuilders
Let's face it. We don't really want parity, we want our teams to be the best. But we also want competition.
Here's a suggestion that doesn't penalize the good teams but could help rebuilding teams.
What if...
Lottey teams did not need to cut to 27 but only had to cut to 35 AFTER the FA draft. That way guys who trade for rookie picks don't end up having to cut them and put them in the FA draft.
The better teams aren't affected - they don't have to give up anything they now have. Admittedly they don't get a "chance" in the FA draft at the rookie's or other cuts that are on the weaker teams, but that is all.
In RT, these cuts would show up in the FA drafts so they would still get a shot at them.
