Has Jon Garland turned the corner too?

Sometimes these guys learn a new pitch and meet or surpass expectations. The improvement in both Garland and Patterson is so dramatic that the "small sample" retort would be supercilious.

I wish them and Bruce Chen continued good health. Not all pitchers are heartbreakers.
