Agree with Dave. I haven't been able to figure out how to prevent it. My impression is not so much that the robot has put your closer in the setup role, but he brings him in early to close, and then for some reason (fatigue, matchups?) pulls him for somebody else.

My B10 team got 45 saves out of Gagne last year; I think that's the most I've ever compiled for a closer. Gagne this year has 7, with my team 21-9 and dependent on the bullpen. 4 saves have gone to Gordon, Linebrink, and Cerda, all by the robot on the road. It's really hard to imagine a scenario in which a closer could get 50-55 saves with the robot managing as it does.
