I "think" that if after you see strange results from an early game in the series, then check your pitcher settings, if you make a correction so you no longer have undesignated pitchers, then the remainder of the series the robot will perform correctly.

I'm not certain of this, but I think it is true.

Just a suggestion so that if it happens again, perhaps you can salvage a few games of the series.
