Probably worse than the manual..
I thought the manual did a pretty good job, but here is an attempt to make it clearer???
In the RT monthly FA draft, all the rounds are done on one day so you only have one chance to set up your draft order.
1)Let's assume you are drafting in all 5 rounds:
2) Let's say you desparately need a catcher but only want to get 1 and you draft 20th. If you put 8 catchers at the top of your list, you may end up with 5 catchers. To avoid this you use DROPS. You click on the drop button next to the 1st catcher then on the drop screen you add the other 7 catchers onto his drop list.
Repeat that for each catcher though for the 2nd catcher you don't put the 1st catcher; for the 3rd catcher you don't put the top 2 catchers on his list, etc.
Now you will get ONE catcher and only one as if you draft one of these guys, the others will DROP off your draft list.
It doesn't have to be used like this, just if you don't want to get one player in a later round if you get someone else in an earlier round, use DROPS.
If you are ONLY drafting in round one (you only cut to 34), then you don't need to use DROPS.
Does this make it clearer or muddier? Perhaps if you reread the manual after reading my example it will make it clearer...perhaps not...
Best of luck.
