I THINK the answer to this is that it is not entirely automatic to play the robot games. Just as "live" games can lock up for a variety of reasons, I assume the robot games also can. If one does, I expect it stops the entire process.

So...I believe the commish or a tech person has to be available to monitor these games, even though they don't have to be online constantly while they are playing.
Maybe somebody with more technical knowledge can confirm or debunk this.
As Joey says, they are getting better.
