But You Still Have 6 Managerless Teams

Posted By FWHITE

What's the purpose of a new draft? From most of the remarks, most people who are in favor of a new draft want to re-draft to reduce the number of managerless teams. Combinning Leagues with significant managerless teams and then re-drafting for the entire league(s) would seem to solve the problem. I just don't see the benefits of re-drafting without reducing managerless teams. A re-draft to get different players without reducing the number of managerless teams seems to take away the purpose of a perpetual league. A purpose of building a competitive team from year to year through trades, negotiating, drafting rookies and FA's, applying future strategies and having a sense of realism. Re-drafting just to get different players is not conducive to perpetual ownership and Leagues and would reduce the fun and enjoyment of PB in my opinion.
