Paul
I am very saddened to hear about the death of Paul and offer what condolences I can to his family and friends.
As I am one of the originals in PB, I knew Paul for over ten years. Originally he and I used to spend lots of time on the phone discussing trades. I agree with some of the other posts that his desire to talk to you on the phone rather than email was mostly due to his desire to communicate as in-person as possible. I may have made more trades with him than anyone back in the 90's but recently I heard little from him.
You had to be understanding to deal with Paul and I'm sure he must have turned some managers "off" over the years. Personnally I liked Paul and found his enthusiasm for baseball in general and this game in particular to be genuine and probably therapeutic for him. He did have a very serious accident when he was young and was bed and wheel chair ridden for most of his later years.
He will be missed.
