Slumps (and Streaks) Explained

Unlike real ball, PB has no 'memory'. i.e., each AB or pitch is independent of all the others before it, so there is no concept of a streak or a slump built into the system. So, if Tino has better real-season stats than your INN players, he's always a better candidate.

So you are just having an unlucky patch. And in a statistically driven game there will always be players who don't perform near their real-time stats.
