I don't have any particular problem with extending the deadline. I do have a problem with the logic of doing it because not doing it "helps active managers too much."
I've been away from my teams more this summer than for several years because I bought a house, moved, and had some professional activities I had to attend. I'm still far more active than 3/4 of the nominally "active" managers.
I need all the help I can get, and so do the other guys who put in the time and effort to make the leagues truly competitive!
