in game 2 of one of my teams series this week, the following happened: E6, FC 5-4, F8, BB, RBI 1B, RBI 1B, RBI 1B, RBI 1B, RBI 1B, 2 RBI 2B, GO 5-3. The game counted all 7 runs as earned, but according to the stats rule all of them should be unearned since the 2nd out of the inning (which really would have been the 3rd out and would have been out of the inning with no runs scored) happened before a run ever scored. Can someone please tell me am I wrong in reading the rules or is the game padding my ERA and the 2 pitchers that pitched that inning?
