From conversations that I have had with Mike Bravard in the past, the text for the play results does not necessarily show what exactly happened on that play. A written result of a bunt single only means that the player got a single on the play with base runners advancing one base. It has nothing to do with what position a player plays or if he had a number of bunt hits during the baseball season.
