day to day injuries
I don't know what team/league you are in so I will assume your chart is correct.
However my interpretation is different.
In MLB Barmes had one injury for 76 days.
I think we agree on that.
In PB he suffered his first injury for just one day (very lucky considering the length of his MLB injury). Then in PB he suffered a SECOND injury in which he is day to day for 6 games.
I'm not sure what a day to day injury does to a player but I think the day to day injury results when a player is injured more times in PB than in MLB. In Bames case this was his second PB injury while he suffered only one injury in MLB.
Perhaps (I am guessing) a player playing with a day to day injury performs poorly, like he is rusty. The reason I say this is because Sosa suffered a day to day injury (12 days)for my team and I did not realize it and continued to play him. While he was able to play -- he was terrible -- batting under .200 during that stretch of games with no power. He might have performed poorly for other reasons (12 days is a small sample) but my guess is the day to day injury had something to do with it.
By the way I have been with PB from the beginning and have managed several teams each season. I don't recall ever seeing day to day injuries before this season. Does anyone else remember seeing them? Curious!
